„Donăm Plasmă” association announces that we are very impressed by the major interest given to our project „Plasmă pentru România”- The first 10 Centers of Plasmapheresis.
Not less than 23 transfusion centers or transfusion units have shown interest about this project, so, during this period, intensive consultations took place with specialists from the transfusion centers and the Ministry of Health, respectively with representatives of the local authorities who want to get involved in the project. It’s an essential step necessary to clarify the procedures and the role of each part involved in this large-scale project.
Also, we had intense consultations with several private companies, which expressed their interest to become our parteners, both manufacturers of plasma-derived medicinal products and companies specializing in plasma collection or manufacturers of specific equipment and consumables.
Unfortunattely, the war situation from Ukraine required that the 42 transfusion centers in Romania to be actively involved in a blood drive for the wounded in Ukraine. Under these conditions, transfusion centers, local authorities and even us, we must to mobilize all available resources to help the wounded in Ukraine.
In these conditions, with the agreement of the authorities, we extend until March 15, 2022 the consultations period, respectively until April 15, 2022, the deadline for submitting the intention forms. On March 20, 2022 we will publish the Guide to enter into partnership with the Association „Donăm Plasmă”.
Also, the association „Donăm Plasmă” will be actively involved in the campaign organized by the Ministry of Health for the donation of blood needed to care the wounded in Ukraine.
